The 2007 Thomas R. Marshall Dinner was held Friday September 28, 2007. This years Guest Speaker is past Chairman of the Democrat National committee Joe Andrew. All three Gubernatorial Candidates Jim Schellinger, Richard Young & Jill Long-Thompson were in attendance.

Along with Congressional Candidate Michael Montagano. who gave a great speech and will be a very formidable candidate in the Third District. 

Joe Andrew past chairman of both the Indiana Democrat Party and the Democrat National Central Committee gave what was with out question a great speech and reminded the local Democratic Party why he was the best National Chairman the Democrat Part has ever had!

For those who could not attend you missed John W. Whiteleather at his very best!

At the Thomas R. Marshall we honor the memory of Thomas R. Marshall, both Governor of Indiana& Vice President of the United States, who lived most of his adult live in Columbia City.

We present our Thomas R. Marshall Award to those who have served Whitley County, or the State of Indiana as Democrats. We also present our Chairman's Award, named for John W. Whiteleather Jr. who served as county chairman for Ten Years to those who have served Whitley County with honor.

And a GREAT time is had by all who attend.
